About Darul Fatwaa Canada

In an age of increasing complexity and unprecedented access to information, the need for authentic, reliable, and scholarly Islamic guidance has never been greater. Darul Fatwaa was established to serve this need by providing sound religious verdicts and practical guidance rooted in the timeless teachings of the Qur’an and Sunnah, in accordance with the principles of the Hanafi school of Islamic jurisprudence.

Founded by Mufti Nuski Cassim under the guidance and supervision of his esteemed teacher, Mufti Mohammed Tosir Miah حفظه الله (Darul Ifta Birmingham), through whom he completed his formal training in Iftā’, Darul Fatwaa stands upon a foundation of recognised scholarship, academic rigour, and a commitment to serving the Muslim community.

Darul Fatwaa was established in response to the growing volume of questions arising from Muslims across the globe concerning matters of worship, family life, financial dealings, personal conduct, and contemporary challenges. These include, but are not limited to, purification, prayer, zakat, fasting, marriage, divorce, inheritance, and other aspects of daily life.

The mission of Darul Fatwaa is to provide accessible, well-researched, and practical answers that help Muslims fulfil their religious obligations with confidence and clarity. Through sincere service, careful research, and adherence to established scholarly principles, Darul Fatwaa seeks to connect individuals with the rich legacy of Islamic scholarship while addressing the realities of the modern world.

Darul Fatwaa, by the help of Allah, remains dedicated to upholding the trust of sacred knowledge and serving as a reliable resource for those seeking guidance in matters of faith and practice.

About The Founder

Mufti Nuski Cassim grew up in the Greater Toronto Area of Ontario. During his secondary school education, he developed a strong inclination toward the Masjid and the pursuit of Islamic knowledge. In 2012, he enrolled in the Mathabah Learning Center’s first-ever Pursuers Certificate Program.

Upon completing the Pursuers program, he furthered his studies by enrolling in the ʿĀlimiyyah program offered through Darul ʿUloom Online (DUO) under the supervision of Mufti Yasir Nadeem. During this period, he also undertook private Hadith studies with Mufti Talha Barni, a senior instructor at DUO at the time.

He was granted ijazah upon completing the ʿĀlimiyyah program in 2024. Thereafter, he enrolled in the two-year Iftāʾ program at Darul Iftāʾ Birmingham under the guidance of Mufti Tosir Miah, which he successfully completed in 2026.

Alongside his formal studies in Iftāʾ, he has maintained a keen interest in advanced Hadith studies and is currently undertaking a three-year Hadith specialization program (Takhassus fi’l Hadith) under the tutelage of Mufti Ismail Moosa, a distinguished student of the late Mufti Ebrahim Desai (may Allah have mercy on him).

Mufti Nuski is deeply passionate about serving and supporting members of the community. Recognizing the importance of addressing both spiritual and personal challenges, he is currently enrolled in a Level 2 course in Islamic Psychology and Counselling, which will be followed by a professional specialization program in the field.
